Why licensing matters on a house clearance
If you pay somebody to remove waste from your property and it is later fly-tipped, the legal responsibility can come back to you as the householder. That is why every clearance should be carried out by a registered waste carrier who can prove where your waste has gone.
Clearance Service is registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier and holds full public liability insurance. All waste is taken to licensed transfer stations and recycling facilities, and we can supply a certificate of disposal for any job.
We are also long-standing Checkatrade members, which means our work, pricing and conduct are independently reviewed by the customers we work for.
What we can provide

- Checkatrade membership and reviews
- Written, itemised quotations
- Risk assessments for complex sites
- DBS-checked staff on request

Recycling and responsible disposal
Reuse comes first: furniture and household goods in good condition are donated or resold wherever possible. Metals, textiles, electricals and green waste are separated and recycled, and only what is left goes to a licensed disposal facility.
For every tonne of waste that does end up in landfill we fund the planting of 100 trees, so the clearance leaves something positive behind.
